Although my artwork is about color, I actually work with one color at a time. I do not squeeze out multiple colors onto my palette. In my process I tend to have an idea of what my colors will be, so I mix and use the one color I want. My palette then gets wiped clean and I move on to the next color.
My painting process and my artwork is about simplification. I have realized simpler things are easier to enjoy and tend to be more peaceful. I’m currently pushing my work to be a more relaxed and freer abstract version of the landscapes that inspire me. I still continue to create the gorgeous color combinations and compositions I’m well known for.
